Brillux Lacryl Hydro-Gel ELF 695 – roll-on primer for absorbent substrates

Brillux Lacryl Hydro-Gel ELF 695 is a water-based primer that is very easy to apply with a roller and is designed to level out substrates with varying degrees of absorbency. It also stabilises slightly sandy plasters, gypsum plasters and gypsum fillers, and is suitable for priming plaster, concrete, plasterboard and existing emulsion paint finishes, as well as cement-based mortars and fillers.

This thixotropic, alkali-resistant primer has a strengthening and adhesion-promoting effect and dries quickly. It is low-emission, solvent-free and plasticiser-free, and complies with the requirements of the AgBB.

What sets this product apart

  • Water-based hydrosol primer, thixotropic formulation.
  • Area of application: for exterior and interior use.
  • Strengthening and adhesion-promoting.
  • Alkali-resistant, quick-drying.
  • Composition: Low-emission, solvent- and plasticiser-free (ELF), AgBB-compliant.

Also available with ‘Protect’ formulation

For external use, Brillux Lacryl Hydro-Gel ELF 695 Protect is available as a separate formulation with additional film protection against algae and fungal attack on the coating.

How much primer do I need?

Coverage is approx. 100–200 ml/m² per coat, depending on the absorbency of the substrate.
