As part of a collaboration, Sebastian and Kai from MEINEWAND have developed wallpaper concepts for rooms from Westwing, Europe's largest interiors provider. In his article, Sebastian explains their selection.

The Babylon wallpaper collection is inspired by ancient relief work. The Belgian wallpaper label Arte International worked together with the And Max design studio, which specialises in plaster, stucco and clay, to develop the unusual, three-dimensional patterns. London based Wallpaper designer and painter Sian Zeng was born in China and grew up in Hungary. After graduating from the renowned Central Saints Martins College she founded her own label. We spoke to her about her approach to colour and asked her for tips on paint colours that can be combined with her wallpapers.

A good starting point for this very Nordic colour concept are the wallpapers of the traditional Swedish brands Sandberg and Boråstapeter, many of which are in subtle colours. Clear white or grey components in all colour tones allow the wallpapers to recede visually in the room.

For the new collection, the young wallpaper label Mindthegap has collaborated with British designer and interior architect Minnie Kemp. The patterns are inspired by the landscape of Transylvania, the home of Mindthegap, and English eccentricity. They combine gorgeous colours and eclectic motifs.
