The opulent designs by House of Hackney make a statement. The label was founded in 2011. As an antithesis to the minimalist design ideas of many British designers in the late 2000s, Frieda Gormley and Javvy Royle's label continues to draw on a wealth of British wallpaper tradition for its luxurious wallpapers. The patterns of William Morris, one of the most important wallpaper designers of the 19th century, are also one of the many sources of inspiration for the wallpapers of House of Hackney. The products are mainly produced in small British factories, which have often built up a special technical know-how over generations.
For the new Barbour x House of Hackney clothing collection, the traditional British label Barbour from South Shields collaborated with House of Hackney, combining the classic Barbour wax jacket with the Artemis pattern or the waterproof cape with the Saturnalia patchwork design. The aim of this extraordinary collaboration is to bring together Barbour's beautiful, functional clothing with House of Hackney's iconic style
