Richard Hutten

The collection contains wallpapers designed by Richard Hutten for the Dutch wallpaper label NLXL.

The Rotterdam-based Dutch designer Richard Hutten studied at the Design Academy in Eindhoven and subsequently founded his own design studio. Hutten's designs, which are now internationally recognised, are often innovative and playful. He says of his work: "Traditionally, design is about solving a problem. I don't solve problems, I create possibilities".

Hutten's work is represented in numerous museums and exhibitions around the world. In 2008, Richard Hutten became artistic director of Gispen, one of the best-known furniture brands in the Netherlands. He has won numerous prizes for his designs, including the Red Dot Award, the LAI interior award and the German Design Award.
