Little Greene's hard-wearing floor paint
Floors painted in rich, intense colours are an integral part of British interior design history. Little Greene’s water-based floor paint, with a gloss level of 30–40 per cent, provides an extremely hard-wearing surface after just two hours’ drying time. Its high pigment content gives wooden and concrete floors exceptional colour depth, creating that quintessentially English look.

Applications
This water-based varnish is optimised for high mechanical stress and achieves a hardness equivalent to that of traditional, solvent-based paints. It withstands the wear and tear caused by shoes in the hallway or by chair legs in the dining room. The finish also performs excellently on kitchen floors made of primed concrete or on MDF substrates. Stairs, hallways and entrance areas benefit from the fast drying time of just 2 hours.
Application
The paint is characterised by minimal dripping and excellent flow, which minimises the formation of roller marks.
For a perfect finish, it must be applied in two coats using a high-quality synthetic paint roller or a brush with synthetic bristles.
The surface to be painted must be clean, dry and free of grease. Before application to softwood, knots must be sealed with Aluminium Wood Primer to prevent resin bleed-through.
To ensure optimum adhesion and maximum colour depth, the substrate must be prepared with the appropriate Little Greene primer. This ensures uniform absorption and guarantees the durability of the surface.
The paint forms a hard, protective film after just a short time. Whilst the surface can be walked on after approximately two hours, a curing time of several days should be allowed to ensure full mechanical strength.
