A contemporary version of Le Corbusier wall cladding.
Le Corbusier died exactly half a century ago - in 1965 - but the work of the world-famous designer and architect is still relevant today. That's why Arte pays tribute to him with a new collection Le Corbusier - Dots. This design wallcovering is a new interpretation of Le Corbusier's own work - now using innovative techniques, but true to his unique philosophy. The pattern - dots on a uniform background - is based on the dot pattern wallcovering that Le Corbusier
designed in 1931. However, the dots are no longer applied with oil paint, but with relief paint with a high-gloss finish. They provide a subtle reflection so that the wall covering - like Le Corbusier in his architecture - plays with the light.
All 63 Le Corbusier colours appear in this new collection - as dots, backgrounds or both. The pattern is available in 40 different combinations. Some subtle, like the pearl grey Dots on an ivory white background, others decidedly contrasting, like ochre on blue. So there's a wallcovering to suit every room, mood and style.
