Intelligent Masonry Paint is Little Greene’s paint for façades. It combines the look of historic British country houses and townhouses with modern polymer technology. With a matt finish of 3–5 per cent gloss, a natural mineral appearance and the exceptional colour depth typical of Little Greene, Intelligent Masonry Paint gives buildings a quintessentially English look that will last for many years.
The special features of Intelligent Masonry Paint

- Durable finish: The water- and dirt-resistant finish protects against extreme weather conditions.
- Elasticity: The partially elastic, film-like surface can adapt to building movements, thereby preventing cracks, flaking or blistering.
Applications
Intelligent Masonry Paint is recommended for use on all mineral-based exterior surfaces. These range from traditional masonry and new render to cement blocks and previously painted surfaces.
Ideal applications:
- Entire façades: Achieving a harmonious overall look using the Little Greene colour palette
- Garden walls and privacy screens: Protecting exposed wall sections from moisture
- Plinths and garages: A durable finish for areas subject to mechanical stress
Application
To ensure optimum adhesion and maximum colour depth, the substrate must be prepared using the appropriate Little Greene primer. This ensures uniform absorption and guarantees the longevity of the finish. For surfaces that are sandy or chalking, pre-treatment with Little Greene’s Intelligent ASP is essential. Alternatively, for the first coat, the paint can be thinned with 5–25% water to optimise deep adhesion.
For a perfect finish, the paint must be applied in two coats using a façade roller or brush. When doing so, avoid painting in direct sunlight or on surfaces that have become very hot to ensure an even film build-up. Thanks to its water-based formula, the paint dries quickly, enabling the project to be completed efficiently.
