Brillux Lacryl Hydro-Gel ELF 695 Protect – roll-on primer with film protection

Brillux Lacryl Hydro-Gel ELF 695 Protect is the ‘Protect’ grade of this roll-on, water-based primer, designed to level out substrates with varying degrees of absorbency. The film protection safeguards the coating in outdoor areas against algae and fungal growth. The primer also stabilises slightly sandy renders, gypsum renders and gypsum fillers.

It is suitable for render, concrete, plasterboard, existing emulsion paint finishes, as well as cement-based mortars and levelling compounds. The thixotropic, alkali-resistant primer has a strengthening and adhesion-promoting effect and dries quickly.

What sets this product apart

  • Protect features: Protect quality with a protective film against algae and fungal growth.
  • Water-based hydrosol primer, thixotropic formulation.
  • Area of application: for external use.
  • Strengthening and adhesion-promoting, alkali-resistant.
  • Composition: Low-emission, solvent- and plasticiser-free (ELF), AgBB-compliant.

What does ‘Protect’ mean?

This formulation features additional film protection against algae and fungal growth on the coating and is intended for external use. The protective effect depends, amongst other things, on the location and moisture exposure.

How much primer do I need?

Coverage is approx. 100–200 ml/m² per coat, depending on the absorbency of the substrate.

  • 10 litres: approx. 50–100 m²

These coverage figures apply to a single coat and may vary depending on the substrate and application method.
