Brillux Secocret 449 + Protect – Facade coating for aerated concrete with film protection

Brillux Secocret 449 + Protect is a weather-resistant, high-build façade coating based on a silicone resin emulsion and acrylate, formulated with film protection against algae and fungal growth. It is designed to provide long-lasting surface protection and to finish aerated concrete wall panels in external applications, either as a slurry coat or with a self-levelling texture.

The Protect grade is recommended for surfaces subject to prolonged exposure to moisture, where there is a risk of algae or fungal growth depending on the location and construction. The coating is water-repellent, resistant to driving rain, permeable to water vapour and resistant to industrial emissions.

What does ‘Protect’ mean?

This formulation features an additional film protection against algae and fungal attack on the coating and is intended for external use. The protective effect depends, amongst other things, on the location and moisture exposure.

How much material do I need?

The amount of material required depends on the coating system.

  • 25 kg for the initial coat: up to approx. 14 m² at a minimum of 1.8 kg/m² for two coats combined.
  • 25 kg for the renovation coat: approx. 36 m² at approx. 700 g/m² for a single coat.

Depending on the desired texture and the substrate, consumption may be higher.
