Brillux Silicate Undercoat ELF 3639 Protect – Silicate-based undercoat with film protection

Brillux Silicate Brush-On Filler ELF 3639 Protect is the ‘Protect’ grade of the weather-resistant silicate-based brush-on filler for filling, crack-bridging and texturing intermediate coats on mineral, silicifiable substrates, for external use. The film protection safeguards the exterior coating against algae and fungal growth.

The fibre-reinforced filler is low-odour, highly vapour-permeable and bonds with the substrate through silicification. It also serves as an intermediate coat (plaster primer) for silicate plasters.

What does ‘Protect’ mean?

This formulation features an additional protective film against algae and fungal attack on the coating and is intended for external use. The protective effect depends, amongst other things, on the location and moisture exposure.

How much material do I need?

Approx. 200–250 g/m² is required as an intermediate coat for silicate plasters; approx. 500–800 g/m² as a texturing coat.

  • 20 kg as an intermediate coat: approx. 80–100 m².
  • 20 kg as a texturing coat: approx. 25–40 m².

These coverage figures apply to a single coat and may vary depending on the substrate and application method.
