Brillux ELF 971 Black Wall Paint – black interior emulsion paint

Brillux ELF 971 Black wall paint is a black interior emulsion paint for cost-effective ceiling and wall coatings on surfaces not subject to mechanical stress. It is particularly suitable for surfaces that are to be given a discreet finish, e.g. open, suspended ceilings or visible recesses behind cladding.

This matt-finish paint offers good coverage, excellent adhesion, is vapour-permeable and easy to apply. It is low-emission, free from solvents and plasticisers, and complies with AgBB requirements.

What sets this product apart

  • Black interior emulsion paint, matt finish.
  • Good coverage: Coverage class 1 at 7 m²/l.
  • Durability: Wet scrub resistance Class 3.
  • Composition: Low-emission, solvent- and plasticiser-free (ELF).
  • Allows water vapour to pass through and adheres firmly.
  • Applications: for interior use, on interior plaster, concrete, woodchip wallpaper, plasterboard, fibre cement and sand-lime brickwork.

How much paint do I need?

Coverage is approx. 130–150 ml/m² per coat.

  • 15 litres: approx. 100–115 m²

These coverage figures apply to a single coat and may vary depending on the substrate and application method.

The paint is to be used on sound substrates; in the case of interior plaster, this depends on the compressive strength.
