Casein is a complex mixture of proteins obtained from milk. In powder form, it is added to marble flour paint and broken down with soda to form a binder. People knew thousands of years ago that lime mixed with curd is an excellent binder for paints and glues.
Some of these works are still preserved in churches and museums today. Proof enough of the excellent quality of casein paints. But not only the quality, but also the environmentally friendly production and processing of casein paints are reasons to rediscover and further develop old recipes.
Wall and ceiling paint for interior use on all load-bearing and absorbent plasters (clay, lime, gypsum, cement), putties, woodchip wallpaper, pure paper wallpaper, paper fleece, plasterboard, gypsum fibreboard and concrete.
Also suitable for use on firmly fixed, matt and absorbent emulsion paints after applying test surfaces with positive results. For damp areas we recommend KREIDEZEIT Sumpfkalkfarbe.
