The varied collections of the Belgian wallpaper manufacturer Arte International, founded in 1981, are just as suitable for luxurious, classic interiors as they are for minimalist, avant-garde furnishings. They are conceived by an in-house design team and, with a few exceptions, manufactured in the company's own factory in Zonhoven. During the development of each new collection, which takes up to a year to complete, the design is constantly reviewed with regard to its effect in real room situations. Fabric collections are one of Arte International's specialities. In addition, unusual materials are also used. Thus, surfaces are created from water hyacinths in the design Fuga or banana leaves in the design Musa, which creates wallpapers with a unique structure.
