The panoramic wallpaper features delicate branches and stylised laurel leaves that are rhythmically distributed across the background. A timeless pattern, it was created in 1914 by Austrian designer and architect Dagobert Peche, inspired by the ancient figure of Daphne, who transformed herself into a laurel tree to escape the pursuits of the god Apollo.
The wallpaper was designed in collaboration with the Swedish art museum Millesgården and the famous Vienna Museum of Applied Arts, which is dedicated to the works of the Wiener Werkstätte group of artists.
