The wallpaper shows a pattern by Finnish architect and designer Alvar Aalto. It was inspired by the brick façade of Baker House, completed by Aalto in 1949 on the grounds of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Originally designed as a fabric pattern, the motif quickly became an icon of Finnish design in its brilliant simplicity.
The rounded rectangles and harmonious colour scheme create a subtle, calm effect that is ideal for timeless, stylish interiors. The pattern brings structure to the room without being obtrusive and creates a pleasant, balanced look.
The backing is made of high-quality non-woven fabric. This makes hanging the wallpaper very easy. Paste is applied to the wall, and then the wallpaper is hung directly onto the wall.
