Product information "2K-Aqua Epoxi-Primer 2373"

Brillux 2K-Aqua Epoxy Primer 2373 – Bonding agent for non-absorbent substrates

On non-absorbent substrates, Brillux 2K-Aqua Epoxy Primer 2373 ensures adhesion for the subsequent coat. This water-based two-component primer is suitable, for example, for zinc, galvanised steel, aluminium, tiles, as well as Glasal and melamine resin boards. Iron and steel can be primed for indoor use.

The primer is low-odour and can be overcoated with various paint systems. To prepare the product for application, the base material is mixed with 2K-Aqua Epoxi-Härter 2374. It can also be used as part of a coordinated floor coating system.

Product features

  • Two-component, water-based, epoxy resin-based.
  • Excellent adhesion to non-absorbent substrates.
  • Applications: for exterior and interior use (iron/steel for interior use only).
  • Matt finish, quick-drying, low odour.
  • Can be overpainted with any paint.

How much primer do I need?

Coverage is approximately 100 ml of ready-mixed product per m² per coat. The sets contain the base material and the matching 2K-Aqua Epoxy Hardener 2374 in a 4:1 ratio by volume: 600 ml plus 150 ml or 2.4 litres plus 600 ml.

  • 750 ml set including hardener: approx. 7.5 m².
  • 3-litre set including hardener: approx. 30 m².

These coverage figures apply to a single coat and may vary depending on the substrate and application method.
