Product information "Impredur Grund 835 Protect weiß"

Brillux Impredur Grund 835 Protect – Wood primer with film protection

Brillux Impredur Grund 835 Protect is an alkyd resin-based, aromatic-free primer and intermediate coat for timber components made from hardwood and softwood, such as windows, doors and timber cladding, enhanced with film protection against algae and fungal attack on the coating when used outdoors. It is also suitable as an intermediate coat on previously primed metal surfaces with an intact coating.

The matt primer has excellent filling and covering power and is vapour-permeable, thus helping to regulate moisture.

What sets this product apart

  • Protect features: Protect quality with film protection against algae and fungal attack.
  • Base material: Aromatic-free, alkyd resin-based.
  • Application: for exterior use, matt.
  • Excellent filling and covering power, and excellent adhesion.
  • Allows water vapour to diffuse and regulates moisture.

What does ‘Protect’ mean?

This formulation features additional film protection against algae and fungal attack on the coating and is intended for external use. The protective effect depends, amongst other things, on the location and moisture exposure.

How much primer do I need?

Coverage is approx. 80–100 ml/m² per coat.

  • 750 ml: approx. 7.5–9.4 m²
  • 3 litres: approx. 30–38 m²
  • 10 litres: approx. 100–125 m²

These coverage figures apply to a single coat and may vary depending on the substrate and application method.
