Product information "Isoprimer 243 weiß"

Brillux Isoprimer 243 white – water-based insulating wood primer

When applying light-coloured coatings to wood, water-soluble substances naturally present in the wood can cause discolouration. Brillux Isoprimer 243 seals off these substances and forms the basis for subsequent water-based Brillux coating systems.

This white primer is suitable for softwoods and hardwoods as well as wood-based materials, for example on windows, doors, soffits and cladding. It can be applied by brush, roller or spray and can also be used on mineral substrates indoors.

What sets this product apart

  • Formulation: Water-based, low in emissions and harmful substances.
  • Cationic insulation against water-soluble wood constituents.
  • Applications: for exterior and interior use, vapour-permeable.
  • Good adhesion to untreated timber and existing coatings.
  • Good coverage, quick-drying.
  • Can be applied by brush, roller or spray.

How much primer do I need?

Coverage is approx. 100–130 ml/m² per coat.

  • 750 ml: approx. 5.8–7.5 m²
  • 3 litres: approx. 23–30 m²
  • 10 litres: approx. 76–100 m²

These coverage figures apply to a single coat and may vary depending on the substrate and application method.

Isoprimer is primarily used as part of a system with the Brillux Lacryl-PU and Hydro-PU-Tec paint systems, as well as the Hydro-PU-Spray systems.
