Brillux Lignodur UltraGuard 580 – Wood stain with UV absorber for timber

Windows, doors and other dimensionally stable timber components require a wood stain tailored to the stresses they are subjected to. Brillux Lignodur UltraGuard 580 is suitable for this purpose, as well as for components with limited dimensional stability, such as shutters or tongue-and-groove cladding.

This satin-gloss alkyd resin wood stain contains a UV absorber for high UV and weather resistance. It penetrates well, is drip-resistant and can be used indoors and outdoors as a single-component system.

What sets this product apart

  • Base material: Aromatic-free, high-solid binder technology.
  • Applications: for interior and exterior use, satin finish.
  • Excellent UV and weather resistance thanks to UV absorbers.
  • Good penetration, moisture-regulating.
  • Drip-resistant; can be applied with minimal dripping even when working overhead.
  • Colour range: Available in twelve shades ranging from oak to ebony, as well as chalk white and colourless.
  • Colourless version suitable for indoor use only.

Also available with Protect formula

For external use, Brillux Lignodur UltraGuard 580 Protect is available as a separate formulation with additional film protection against algae and fungal attack on the coating.
