Brillux Lignodur UltraGuard 580 Protect – Wood stain with a protective film against algae and fungi
Brillux Lignodur UltraGuard 580 Protect is the ‘Protect’ grade of this highly weather-resistant wood stain for all deciduous and coniferous woods. The film protection safeguards the coating against algae and fungal attack, for example on outdoor timber components subject to moisture and with limited dimensional stability.
This aromatic-free, satin-gloss high-solid wood stain penetrates well and, thanks to an additional UV absorber, offers excellent UV and weather resistance. It is drip-resistant and can be applied overhead with minimal dripping.
What sets this product apart
- Protect features: Protect quality with film protection against algae and fungal growth.
- Base material: Aromatic-free, high-solid binder technology.

What does ‘Protect’ mean?
This formulation features additional film protection against algae and fungal growth on the coating and is intended for external use. The protective effect depends, amongst other things, on the location and moisture exposure.
