Brillux Lignodur VarioGuard Tix 510 Protect – drip-free wood stain with film protection
Brillux Lignodur VarioGuard Tix 510 Protect is the ‘Protect’ grade of the deep-penetrating, non-drip alkyd resin wood stain for hardwoods and softwoods. The film protection safeguards the coating against algae and fungal attack, for example on surfaces subject to high moisture loads such as roof soffits at risk of condensation.
As a single-component system, it is suitable for non-dimensionally stable and partially dimensionally stable timber components such as cladding, fences, pergolas, garden sheds and window shutters. It has a satin finish, is aromatic-free and regulates moisture.
What sets this product apart
- Protect formula: Protect quality with film protection against algae and fungal growth.
- Deep-penetrating alkyd resin glaze, aromatic-free.
- Area of application: for exterior use, satin finish.
- Formulated to be drip-free, even for overhead work.
- Moisture-regulating.
What does ‘Protect’ mean?
This formulation features additional film protection against algae and fungal attack on the coating and is intended for external use. The protective effect depends, amongst other things, on the location and moisture exposure.
How much glaze do I need?
Coverage is approx. 70 ml/m² per coat.
- 750 ml: approx. 11 m²
- 3 litres: approx. 43 m²
- 10 litres: approx. 143 m²
These coverage figures apply to a single coat and may vary depending on the surface and application method.
