The wallpaper features wide vertical stripes, along which lush flower tendrils with anemones and fine foliage stretch upwards. The floral elements are repeated rhythmically between the stripes, creating a balanced structure. This creates an elegant, light atmosphere in the room with a classic yet lively look.
The wallpaper is dedicated to the style icon Madeleine Castaing (1894-1992). Castaing was an internationally renowned French antiques dealer, interior designer and patron of the arts. She was famous for her revolutionary, slightly eccentric style.
Designer Catherine Gran, who created the wallpaper, was once a marvelling visitor to the shop that Castaing ran in Rue Jacob in Paris. She still raves about the eclectic selection of products today.
