As well as its world-famous paints, the English manufacturer Farrow & Ball also produces wallpaper.
The original Farrow & Ball colours are used in elaborate, traditional wallpaper printing processes. This ensures that the wallpapers can be perfectly matched with Farrow & Ball’s paint colours.
Some of the wallpaper designs are taken from old French and English archives.
For example, the pattern on the ‘Bumble Bee’ wallpaper was found on a silk fabric in Josephine Bonaparte’s bedroom, whilst the design on the ‘St Antoine’ wallpaper is derived from an 18th-century French damask wallpaper.
