The wallpaper shows a landscape scene with houses in the forest and various animals. The pattern looks hand-painted. The pattern is inspired by a fragment of an early 18th century wallpaper that survives on a wall of Hampton Court Palace and an original document of this design in the GP & J Baker archive.
The wallpaper creates a calm, textile-like wall design with an artistic character.
The wallpaper was created as part of a collaboration between GP & J Baker and Historic Royal Palaces, a charitable organisation that manages the uninhabited palaces of the British Royal Family on behalf of the British Ministry of Culture.
The backing is made of high-quality non-woven fabric. This makes hanging the wallpaper very easy. Paste is applied to the wall, and then the wallpaper is hung directly onto the wall.
