The wallpaper features a striking pattern with geometric lines reminiscent of gardens with flowerbeds. The composition is inspired by the Great Maze at Hampton Court Palace, the oldest surviving hedge maze in the UK. The combination of stronger pattern colours and cream background creates a structured, stylised overall picture.
The wallpaper was created as part of a collaboration between GP & J Baker and Historic Royal Palaces, a charitable organisation that manages the uninhabited palaces of the British royal family on behalf of the British Ministry of Culture.
The product is produced on a high quality non-woven backing. This makes it very easy to apply: The wall is pasted and the panels are glued directly onto the wall.
