The wallpaper features a soft, tonal ikat taken from an early 19th century silk abra smock from Central Asia, which is kept in the archive. The pattern is an original by GP & J Baker.

The backing is made of high-quality non-woven fabric. This makes hanging the wallpaper very easy. Paste is applied to the wall, and then the wallpaper is hung directly onto the wall.
