The dreamlike decor is inspired by 19th century orientalist fantasies of deserts, oases and architecture.
The panoramic wallpaper was created in collaboration with Faïencerie de Gien. The ceramics factory is based in Gien in the Loiret department in the Centre-Val de Loire region. Faïencerie de Gien has been producing earthenware, in particular coffee and dinner services for everyday and upmarket use, since 1821. The company is one of the most important manufacturers of faience tableware in Europe. At the beginning of the 20th century, the manufactory was commissioned to produce the wall tiles for the stations of the Paris metro.
The design consists of several panels, which must be ordered individually in order to obtain the complete design. When attaching the panels to the wall, the order is important (A, B, C, … or 1, 2, 3, …). Once the last panel has been attached, the pattern can be continued horizontally by reattaching the first panel.

The backing is made of high-quality non-woven fabric. This makes hanging the wallpaper very easy. Paste is applied to the wall, and then the wallpaper is hung directly onto the wall.

Since its foundation in 1842, Isidore Leroy has focused on quality, outstanding design and technical innovation. To this day, the wallpaper manufacturer is part of the country's cultural heritage. Parts of the factory in Saint-Fargeau-Ponthierry were even included in the list of French architectural monuments as a "Monument historique" a few years ago. In his current collections, Isidore Leroy focuses on global trends, but also has parts of his wallpaper classics reworked by young designers in a contemporary way. In addition to traditional printing processes, in the technical development of which the company played a significant role in the 19th century, it now also uses the expanded possibilities of digital printing in production.
