American designer John Derian is known worldwide for his innovative style. He incorporates it into the design of his decoupage plates, paperweights, coasters, bowls and furniture. The New York-based John Derian Company Inc, which he founded in 1989, handcrafts many of the objects it sells. Derian has designed several fabric and wallpaper collections for the traditional English manufacturer Designers Guild. They reflect his preference for botanical illustrations, romantic flowers and vintage prints.
