The panoramic wallpaper shows an expansive garden landscape with paths, shrubs and trees against an architectural backdrop. The poet Vita Sackville-West fell in love with the run-down Sissinghurst Castle in Kent in 1930. Together with her husband, she spent 30 years redesigning the legendary, segmented gardens - without formal training, but with a unique sense of colour and scent. The mural celebrates this vibrancy with an abundance of wild flowers in harmonious contrast to the formal garden structures. The individual areas are constructed in perspective and guide the eye through the scene. The depiction conveys an idyllic, spacious effect and lends the room depth and an inviting atmosphere.
The design is supplied in a set of several panels. It can be extended horizontally as required with additional sets.
The backing is made of high-quality non-woven fabric. This makes hanging the wallpaper very easy. Paste is applied to the wall, and then the wallpaper is hung directly onto the wall.
