Marlborough - ca. 1915

A large scale pattern reminiscent of an early 20th century interpretation of a Robert Adam design. This wallpaper was discovered shortly after the death of Queen Mary, who lived at Marlborough House until 1953. The house then became the General Secretariat of the Commonwealth.

Little Greene Paint Company Limited is a family-run English paint and wallpaper manufacturer dedicated to producing exclusive paints and wallpapers. With a history dating back to 1773, the factory on the outskirts of Manchester is one of the oldest industrial sites for paint production in England. Many of Little Greene’s wallpapers revive designs that had lain forgotten in archives for decades. They are produced using intricate printing processes on high-quality non-woven backing, which gives them their refined, traditional texture and elegant appearance.
