Versailles - Rococo wallpaper from Little Greene

Little Greene has scoured the archives of London and Paris to find material for its heritage wallpaper collection, Révolution Papers. The title of this collection refers not to the storming of the Bastille in 1789, but to the pioneering advances in the production and distribution of wallpaper during the industrialisation that followed.

Versailles - paper wallpaper, ca. 1890

Versailles is a wallpaper that was created somewhat later than its traditional design would suggest. It is based on an original document that has been machine printed with gradations of colour to give it a trompe l\'oeil effect. Very much in the classic rococo style, it features scrollwork and an abundance of flowers.

Available in six colourways.

Little Greene Paint Company Limited is a family-run English paint and wallpaper manufacturer dedicated to producing exclusive paints and wallpapers. With a history dating back to 1773, the factory on the outskirts of Manchester is one of the oldest industrial sites for paint production in England. Many of Little Greene’s wallpapers revive designs that had lain forgotten in archives for decades. They are produced using intricate printing processes on high-quality non-woven backing, which gives them their refined, traditional texture and elegant appearance.
