The wallpaper features an evocative motif of a raging ocean on which a fleeing ruler is pursued by a flotilla of small wooden boats. Only a red shining paper lantern leads the sailors on the wild waves through the stormy night. The painting is a homage to Japanese wave woodblock prints that were popular around 1800. Each crest and swell is designed in the traditional style and classically simplified, with the foaming spray highlighted in brilliant white and the water becoming blue curves.
Fine and intricate metallic details make for shimmering highlights on the wall in living rooms and bedrooms.
The wallpaper is supplied in a set of 3 panels. Each panel is 3.00m in height and 0.45m wide. After applying the panels of this set, the next set is applied to the wall. This makes cutting the wallpaper to size very easy.
Important: The wallpaper can only be used for walls up to a maximum height of 3.00m. A special version for higher walls (up to 4.50m) is available on request. Please contact us with the measurements of your wall. service@meinewand.com.
The product is produced on a high quality non-woven backing. This makes it very easy to apply: The wall is pasted and the panels are glued directly onto the wall.
