The wallpaper is inspired by the unique skin structure of the paleo rhinoceros. It is designed as an intricate, raised 3D wallcovering with a soft suede feel. Due to the thickness of the material, the wallpaper has excellent damping characteristics. It can be used for the acoustic design of highly reflective rooms.

The Dutch design studio Moooi was founded in 2001 by Marcel Wanders and quickly made a name for itself with its innovative collections, which range from furniture to lighting fabrics and wallpaper to vases and other accessories. The designs are often daring and not infrequently downright poetic. The collaboration with Belgian wallpaper label Arte combines the production know-how of a global brand with the extravagant ideas of the Moooi team, based in Breda, between Rotterdam and Antwerp. A first result of this collaboration is the luxurious wallpaper series Extinct Animals.
