The pattern by Alan Francis Vigers from 1901 fills the room with bright flowers. Alan Francis Vigers had it printed by the wallpaper printers Jeffrey & Co. The pattern has now been republished by Morris & Co.

The wallpapers by William Morris are a classic of English wallpaper design. They suit both classical and modern interior concepts.
William Morris (1834-1896) was an English textile designer, poet, writer and translator. A pioneer of the English Arts and Crafts movement, a forerunner of German Jugendstil, he helped revive traditional British textiles and crafts.
In 1861 he and partners founded Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co, which became Morris & Co in 1875, a manufacturer of furniture and decorative arts. The company was inspired by medieval aesthetics and craftsmanship and had a great influence on the interior design of churches and houses in the early 20th century.
In 1940, Morris & Co closed. However, the wallpaper designs are produced and marketed to this day by Sanderson under its Morris & Co brand name.
