Product information "Wallpaper Simply Chrysanthemum Toile - Weld"
The wallpaper features a floral design that brings the aesthetic of elegant spring gardens to living rooms and bedrooms. The original Chrysanthemum design was created by William Morris in 1877 as a wallpaper with twisting flowers against a background of foliage. In this interpretation, the elegant lines highlight the details and shapes of the original pattern, creating a unique texture on the wall.
The product is produced on a high quality non-woven backing. This makes it very easy to apply: The wall is pasted and the panels are glued directly onto the wall.

The wallpapers by William Morris are a classic of English wallpaper design. They suit both classical and modern interior concepts.
William Morris (1834-1896) was an English textile designer, poet, writer and translator. A pioneer of the English Arts and Crafts movement, a forerunner of German Jugendstil, he helped revive traditional British textiles and crafts.
In 1861 he and partners founded Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co, which became Morris & Co in 1875, a manufacturer of furniture and decorative arts. The company was inspired by medieval aesthetics and craftsmanship and had a great influence on the interior design of churches and houses in the early 20th century.
In 1940, Morris & Co closed. However, the wallpaper designs are produced and marketed to this day by Sanderson under its Morris & Co brand name.
At meinewand.com you can find beautiful art nouveau wallpapers such as Pimpernel, Strawberry Thief, Willow, Golden Lily and Fruit.
