The panoramic wallpaper designed by Piet Hein Eek shows a picture of palm trees and colonial architecture from the so-called Golden Age of Dutch painting. The original can be found in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. The painting was digitally enlarged for the wallpaper.
Born in 1967, Dutch designer Piet Hein Eek is internationally renowned for his designs made from recycled materials. He created his graduation project in the 1990s at the Academy of Industrial Design in Eindhoven from recycled wood and caused a stir in the furniture industry, which was strongly characterised by Italian design at the time. To this day, Piet Hein Eek transforms everyday, used materials into desirable design pieces in his projects.
The panoramic wallpaper is supplied in a set of several panels. It is available in different sizes. Please note: Depending on the size of the set, the manufacturer may have selected different sections from the overall picture.
The backing is made of high-quality non-woven fabric. This makes hanging the wallpaper very easy. Paste is applied to the wall, and then the wallpaper is hung directly onto the wall.
