The wallpaper designed by Piet Hein Eek shows a pattern in a classic marble look. The real floor of a historic Amsterdam house was carefully photographed for the production. The pattern creates a timeless effect in the room.
Born in 1967, Dutch designer Piet Hein Eek is internationally renowned for his designs made from recycled materials. He created his graduation project in the 1990s at the Academy of Industrial Design in Eindhoven using recycled wood, causing a stir in the furniture industry, which was strongly characterised by Italian design at the time. To this day, Piet Hein Eek transforms everyday, used materials into desirable design pieces in his projects.
The product is produced on a high quality non-woven backing. This makes it very easy to apply: The wall is pasted and the panels are glued directly onto the wall.
