The wallpaper shows a historical architectural drawing with detailed facades and arcades arranged symmetrically. The pattern was created in 1965 by designer Robert Nicholson and was probably inspired by an etching by Wenceslaus Holland from 1644 showing the Royal Exchange in London. For the Palladio collection, the pattern was supplemented with gold-coloured pigments. It creates depth and gives the room an impressive, theatrical effect.
The backing is made of high-quality non-woven fabric. This makes hanging the wallpaper very easy. Paste is applied to the wall, and then the wallpaper is hung directly onto the wall.
