The wallpaper features large tropical leaves with deeply incised shapes that lie loosely over a light-coloured background. Fine branches with small berries can be seen between the leaves, creating a natural, airy composition. The wallpaper looks fresh and botanical in the room and lends the surroundings a calm, stylish naturalness.
The wallpaper is dedicated to the style icon Madeleine Castaing (1894-1992). Castaing was an internationally renowned French antiques dealer, interior designer and patron of the arts. She was famous for her revolutionary, slightly eccentric style.
Designer Catherine Gran, who created the wallpaper, was once a marvelling visitor to the shop that Castaing ran in Rue Jacob in Paris. She still raves about the eclectic selection of products today.
