Palmeral digital mural - palm tree wallpaper by House of Hackney, smooth non-woven wallpaper

Palmeral is a tribute to Loddiges, one of the world's largest tropical houses situated in Hackney during the Georgian period. A mecca for tropical plants and the inspiration for many of the species that can be admired at Kew Gardens today. The Art Deco inspired pattern is available in five colourways.

The motif consists of four panels (á 0.45m x 3.00m) and is endlessly expandable like a wallpaper. Carrier material is a high-quality non-woven, which makes the application very simple. The wall is pasted and the strips are placed directly on the wall.

House of Hackney

The opulent designs from House of Hackney make a striking statement in the room. The label was literally founded at a London kitchen table in 2011. As a deliberate alternative to the minimalist design ideas of many British designers at the end of the 2000s, Frieda Gormley and Javvy Royle's label still draws on the full range of British tradition for its luxurious wallpapers and fabrics. The patterns of William Morris, one of the most important designers of the 19th century, are also one of the many sources of inspiration for the fabrics and wallpapers from House of Hackney. The products are mainly manufactured in small British factories, which have often built up specialised technical expertise over generations.

For the Barbour x House of Hackney clothing collection, the traditional British label Barbour from South Shields has collaborated with House of Hackney. The classic Barbour wax jacket was combined with the Artemis pattern or the waterproof cape with the Saturnalia patchwork. The aim of this unusual collaboration is to bring together Barbour's beautiful, functional clothing with the iconic style of House of Hackney.
