Large scale trees and shrubs painted with Chinese colours in an untraditional manner reflect the artist's English and Chinese cultural background. The varied tonal colours in the work create a sense of distance and space and offer minute details within an impressive scale.
The motif consists of 3 panels (0.70m x 3.20m each) and can be extended endlessly like wallpaper. The height of the mural can be adjusted by shortening the top white end; the length from the highest tree to the top of the mural is 110 cm.
The backing is made of high-quality non-woven fabric. This makes hanging the wallpaper very easy. Paste is applied to the wall, and then the wallpaper is hung directly onto the wall.
Magnets with matching designs are available for some of Sian Zeng's wallpapers. With these, the viewer can intervene in the stories and tell them further by means of magnetic flying pigs, hedgehogs, roses, geese riding on llamas, birds and houses.
