The wallpaper manufacturer Lewis & Wood is based in Gloucestershire in the south-west of England. The wallpapers are characterised by large-scale patterns, which are often created in collaboration with artists or inspired by historical models - including in cooperation with the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
Lewis & Wood was founded in 1993 by Stephen Lewis and Jonathan Wood with the aim of creating high-quality wallpapers outside the mainstream. Production continues to this day in a historic mill building near Stroud. A special feature is the wallpaper width of up to 135 cm, which allows the patterns to have a generous effect and ensures a calm, two-dimensional overall look.
The wallpapers go particularly well with English country house style interiors and classically elegant living concepts. Thanks to their painterly and textile look, they also create stylish accents in eclectic interiors.
