Little Greene Wallpaper Thames Latitude
Thames - wallpaper border by Little Greene, smooth non-woven wallpaper
Little Greene celebrates the harmonious historical combination of colour and wallpaper with its Painted Papers striped wallpaper collection. All ten designs are more than just plain striped wallpaper, as they are based on historical patterns found in various archives, including English Heritage and the Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester. Traditional printing methods were used in the production of these wallpapers, where paint was originally applied instead of ink - similar to the manufacturing method in previous centuries, which is also the reason for the charming surface texture.
Thames - wallpaper border, ca. 1851
Thames is a faithful but scaled-up reproduction of a great English Heritage piece: a historical panorama of the British capital published in 1851 by the weekly magazine The London Illustrated News. This hand-drawn scene shows the buildings and landscape along the Thames at the time and includes a repeating section, making the design suitable for any wall width.
The original would have been displayed at ledge height, but in rooms of normal size it can also be beautifully placed at plinth or waist height. The mural consists of a repeating part A of 300 cm and a part B of 100 cm, as well as a 40 cm long part C showing the legend.
Available in two colourways.
