The wallpaper depicts idyllic landscape scenes in the Toile de Jouy style, in which elegant figures are shown fly fishing on a tranquil riverbank. A picturesque scene in restrained colours unfolds between gently curving trees, meadows and watercourses. The fine lines and harmonious colour scheme lend the wallpaper a nostalgic, rural atmosphere and bring a sense of tranquillity and closeness to nature into the room.

The pattern is based on prints produced in the early 18th century by the famous engraver George Morland.

The particularly wide wallpaper panels emphasise the typically English composition particularly well.
