The Toile de Jouy wallpaper shows a detailed pattern with rural scenes on a light-coloured background. Depictions of people working in the countryside and dancing unfold in fine lines. Animals grazing and a romantic landscape with ruins, trees and bridges can also be seen.

The pattern is based on the work of Jean Baptiste Huet, the most successful engraver of the most famous Toile de Jouy factory in France.
